I often get asked, “What are your go-to craft supplies when it comes to kid crafts?”
Well… in all reality I’m a VERY simple girl when it comes to our crafts.
I don’t like fancy tools, machines or even materials. Cost is BIG factor for me as well. I often shop at Dollar Tree, the Target dollar bins or even Walmart for my supplies.
One thing I want to “stick to” when it comes to Glued To My Crafts, is providing craft tutorials that ANYONE, ANYWHERE can recreate. I don’t want YOU to be tied to a specific store or brand either. And since I know that most of the time your child’s creations will be thrown away after a few days or weeks, I can relate that you don’t want to spend an arm or a leg to make it in the first place. It simply doesn’t make sense to go broke over craft time!
Anyways, with the holidays quickly coming up, I figured now was the perfect time to share not only my favorite items that are in my craft stash at all times but where you can find them as well. This way you can make a wish list for yourself, your kid or even make a list for anyone who is shopping for you, to help you build up that PERFECT craft stash! Wouldn’t it be awesome to start the new year off on the right foot? Just saying!
Several of these craft supplies are very basic and any brand, at any store will typically work. But some of these in the list, I do have “specifics” that “I” prefer. It’s just recommendations from years of experience. Please feel free to ignore if need be! :-)
And one more note before I dive into the fun – this post contains affiliate links to Amazon, where I can earn a small commission off of anything you buy on this list. The prices are no different or higher than normal but you could be supporting our website in a BIG way because I referred you! Like I said, I typically purchase my supplies at local stores like Walmart, Target or Dollar Tree BUT if you are an Amazon lover or just like ordering online for convenience, clicking the links will make it easy for you, while supporting my business as well!
Now on to my list of MY FAVORITE supplies for a great craft stash! Again, this is my recommended list and what I personally love to keep on hand & what you might find in our tutorials. Several of these materials can be skipped if you like and/or substituted for something else you have on hand. Please take this list as a recommendation not “do as I say” type list. Also – the links to Amazon are too similar products that I use. I tried to match/link to things, as best as I could :-)
Happy shopping & crafting, my friends! #gluedtomycrafts
