Paper Plate Halloween Truck

I’m driving by with a new flesh idea and I’m clashing together Halloween & my son’s love of trucks!

Keep scrolling to see how I pull together this Paper Plate Halloween Truck kid craft idea!

Paper Plate Halloween Truck - Kid Craft

Halloween Trucks Made From Paper Plates

This “haunted Halloween truck” idea has been in my head ALL month long but I just couldn’t get it out. Till now… that is!

I think I drove my husband crazy last night because every time I changed the tiniest thing on this craft, I would come running, asking him “does it look like a truck NOW?” He was hung up on the tires {he still says they are too thick} but I was more concerned about the window part, with the pumpkin heads peeking through. Oh well – I’m happy with it now and I hope you see the vision too!

On that note, if this is something you would like to do with your child this Halloween season, keep scrolling to find the full tutorial below! I hope you get inspired to recreate it, right along side your child as well!!! I just know you are both going to rock this unique Halloween truck craft idea from us!

Happy crafting, my friends! Don’t forget to share pictures of your paper plate Halloween black truck creations with us on our Facebook page. We want to see those masterpieces come to life in your home! #gluedtomycrafts

PAIR YOUR HALLOWEEN TRUCK PAPER PLATE CRAFT WITH —> Craft Stick Witch Truck

Paper Plate Halloween Truck - Kid Craft

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate – one plate makes TWO Halloween trucks
  • Basic Craft Scissors
  • Black Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Various Colors of Cardstock Paper {black, gray, white, yellow, purple}
  • Glue Stick
  • Hand-Held Office Stapler
  • Skull Paper Punch
  • Pumpkin Face Stickers {Dollar Tree}
  • optional materials – markers, glitter, rhinestones etc.

Directions:

  • First things first – cut your LARGE paper plate in half. You only need ONE paper plate half per truck. You can either make two haunted Halloween trucks today or save one half for a rainy day. The choice is up to you!
  • Next up – paint the paper plate half completely black with a paint brush. Set aside to let your piece dry completely.
  • Using scissors and our picture above as a guide, you will want to cut out the truck’s bed {a half circle shape} bumper {long rectangle} wheels {small rectangles} lights {circles} grill {rectangle} and a window {rectangle} out of the various colors of cardstock. At this point in time, if you have the paper punch, also cut out a skull shape for the front of the truck.
  • Go ahead and staple and/or use the glue stick to secure them in the designated spots.
  • When everything is in place, grab the pumpkin face stickers and place them in the truck’s window to look like they are driving the haunted truck.
  • Finally – if desired, add anything else you like for that custom look, before displaying proudly for all to see!
  • Don’t forget to tag us on Facebook with pictures so we can see your completed paper plate black Halloween truck!
