Halloween Unicorn Zombie Craft Made With Yarn & Black Glue
Today’s Halloween Unicorn Zombie w/Yarn Hair tutorial is an extension and play off an idea we shared in the beginning of the year on Glued To My Crafts.
When I was brainstorming the other day over my favorite cup of coffee, I thought, “Hey, this idea can be changed up a bit for a more spooky ZOMBIE feel.”
Well… wham-bam here we are today and with some help of a clipart file I purchased from LisaMarkleSparkles on Etsy, I was able to come up with this totally customizable Halloween zombie unicorn craft that I think you are going to absolutely LOVE! Other than the printable, all you need is some yarn and glue!
So let’s get to it! Download the unicorn head file below and get to work on creating these #cutenotscary Halloween unicorn zombie craft pieces today. I hope you enjoy making it with your child as well!
Happy crafting my friends! Don’t forget to share pictures of your finished paper unicorn zombies with us on our Facebook page to admire from a far this Halloween season! I can’t wait to see how awesome your Halloween unicorns made from paper and yarn turn out! #gluedtomycrafts

Craft Supplies:
- Free UNICORN TEMPLATE FROM BOX.COM
- White Cardstock Paper
- Color Printer
- Black/Orange Craft Yarn {or any other Halloween colors!}
- Basic Craft Scissors
- Black Glitter Glue
- Halloween Colored Glitter for extra sparkle
- optional materials – watercolors or crayons for coloring in the unicorn
Directions:
- First print the free Halloween unicorn template printable on white cardstock. You need one printable per unicorn craft.
- Next grab your Halloween colored yarn and scissors. Have children cut MULTIPLE small strands of yarn. I don’t have an exact number but you will need as much as you like 🙂
- Now grab your black glitter glue {or other choice of adhesive} and put a good amount down in the hair section of the printable. Start laying your cut strands of yarn on top of it, until the section is completely covered.
- Once done, add some more glue and sprinkle some glitter in the empty spots.
- If desired, paint in some glitter glue and more glitter to the horn area of the printable, as well. I also recommend if you like, to outline the unicorn design with glitter glue as well 🙂 You can never go wrong with some sparkle!
- When done, set aside your piece to let it dry completely. Then display proudly for all to see this Halloween!
