Delight your little trick-or-treaters at home, with this easy What’s Inside Your Halloween Candy Bucket kid craft idea!
Break away from the traditional crafts this time of year and go with something inspired by what your child will want to see in their own personal Halloween bucket this year! No pieces will be alike and that’s the great part about this DIY!
And although I’m including TWO free printables in this post to get you started, you can easily skip printing the candy file and have children either recycle candy wrappers {hey – why not?!} or they can draw their own on various sheets of colored paper. With so many ways to “fill” your bucket, I hope at Glued To My Crafts we did this one right!
So what will be in your child’s Halloween candy bucket? Find all the details and spellbinding fun, below! Happy crafting, my friends!!! #gluedtomycrafts
What’s Inside Your Bucket Craft Supplies:
- Free Candy Bucket Template {download HERE and HERE}
- Colored Printer
- White Cardstock Paper
- Scissors
- Clear Contact Paper
- Glitter, sequins, old candy wrappers, tissue paper etc.
- optional – markers for decorating candy
Directions:
- First download and print the FREE candy bucket templates above. You will want one of each printable, per craft.
- Grab your scissors and the bucket printable. Trim out the pumpkin candy bucket shape, as well as the circular center from it. Discard excess paper. Set aside.
- Next grab the candy printable. Trim out each candy piece. Decorate them with markers, if desired.
- Now grab your clear contact paper. Cut out TWO pieces that are bigger than the bucket cutout.
- Remove the backing from one piece of contact paper. Lay it on a flat surface. Place the candy bucket cutout, face down, on the contact paper.
- Next have children decorate the inside of their candy bucket however they like {remember – it’s whatever THEY want inside their bucket.}
- Once they are done creating the contents, grab the second piece of contact paper.
- Peel off the backing and place it on top of the other piece of contact paper, moving your hand around to “squish” everything together.
- To finish off the Stained Glass Pumpkin Candy Bucket craft, use your scissors to trim out the bucket/remove the excess contact paper. Then display proudly on a window with tape!!!
