We are starting the Halloween tutorials off a little early on Glued My Crafts, with today’s Custom Paper Ghost Kids Idea! It’s includes a w/free printable template to get you started! #gluedtomycrafts
If you follow me on any of social media sites, you might have “heard” that I recently got myself an IPad Pro and Pencil.
I set a goal this past summer for Glued To My Crafts and I met it. So I decided to treat myself and my business, as well as expanding my crafty “talents’ along the way.
With the new IPad and Pencil, I hope to offer my lovely readers {you guys!} more hand-drawn printables and kid craft templates. I already have a whole journal full of ideas and I can’t wait to share all these grand things in the coming months!
But first – let’s start with today’s Custom Paper Ghost Kids craft idea. <— By the way, coming up with a title for this craft was nerve wrecking. If you have a better title, hit me up 😉
Anyways… this idea came to mind after seeing “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.” My vision is that you take my hand-drawn piece, add your child’s face to the center and then customize it however you like. It’s just an easy paper craft that can be a great keepsake as well {and teachers – think of how awesome these would look on a bulletin board!}
So, my craft friends – I hope you see the vision like I do and take advantage of the FREE template below! Remember – you also don’t need to use my template. You can easily hand draw your own as well! Whatever you decide to do – we hope we inspired you! Happy crafting. my friends!!!
Paper Ghost Kids – Kid Craft Supplies:
- Free Ghost Design {download HERE and HERE}
- White Cardstock {2 per craft}
- Color Printer
- Scissors
- Adhesive like tape, tape runner, glue stick
- Your Child’s Picture {a 4×6 print size is perfect!}
- Colored Pencils/Markers
- Embellishments like Halloween stickers, glitter glue etc.
Directions:
- First download and print the two free “ghost kids” files above. Print both on simple white cardstock. Repeat for each craft you are making.
- Next, using scissors, trim out the circle of ghost cutout, as well as trimming out the candy bucket and bow.
- Now have children color and decorate their printables however they like. You can even draw small candies inside the pumpkin bucket or color in the ghost shape, if you like!
- Next grab your child’s picture. Trim it down so it fits inside the circle frame in the ghost {but leave a little extra on the sides!} Adhere it to the back of the printable with tape or a glue stick.
- Next – grab the candy bucket and bow cutouts. Adhere them to the printable {turn the bow into a hair bow for girls or a bowtie for boys!}
- If desired – use a marker or colored pencil to draw a handle from the candy bucket.
- Add other embellishments you see fit!
- Display proudly for all to see!
