Dessert Apple Nachos For Kids To Make

We are crafting with the kids in the kitchen today with our Dessert Apple Nachos tutorial!

Kids In The Kitchen - Dessert Apple Nachos

Sliced Apple and Caramel Sauce Nacho Recipe

Hi friends! I’m so glad you have landed on our Dessert Apple Nachos post today!

While “we” are on a summer break from school in the Glued To My Crafts household, I’m trying to get as much “DIY” time as we can in the craft room AND kitchen.

So…that’s how today’s Dessert Apple Nachos tutorial came along. It’s a quick snack recipe that lil man can make completely by himself AND it’s a clever afternoon dessert treat we can enjoy together. Best part? No heating or fancy kitchen equipment required. Plus you can substitute things out for what you have on hand and/or desire.

Hopefully YOU are inspired to make this snack recipe with your child as well, today! Happy crafting IN THE KITCHEN, my friends!!! Don’t forget to share pictures while making your delicious snack! You can tag us on Facebook or Instagram for us to see! #gluedtomycraftsinspiresyou

You can’t resist a good sweet treat! This recipe is perfect for a fun fall snack!

Ingredients:

  • Sliced Apples, Red or Green {I like to buy these in pre-sliced packages but you can do them by hand as well!}
  • Caramel Ice Cream Topping Sauce {this is my “nacho cheese”}
  • Salted Peanuts {for some saltiness}
  • Fresh Blueberries {olives}
  • Colorful Sprinkles {for extra fun}
  • Whipped Cream {I thought it was a clever “sour cream” topping}

Directions:

  • The directions are pretty simple and straightforward. Just lay a handful of your apple slices on a large plate.
  • Drizzle them with caramel sauce {or chocolate sauce or both!}
  • Then add your blueberries, peanuts, sprinkles or whatever topping you like etc. on top.
  • Finally top off everything with some whipped cream “sour cream” in the middle.
  • Enjoy immediately!
