MATERIALS:
- 1/4 cup Elmer’s Magical Liquid
- 1 {5 fl oz} Elmer’s Pink Colored Glue
- Small Black Buttons for the watermelon seeds in the slime
- 1 Bowl to mix your slime in
- 1/4 measuring cup
- Mixing Utensil {I prefer a spoon}
- Jar with Lid for storing {I found mine at Walmart in the kitchen aisle}
- Green Washi Tape
Adult supervision is required. This project is NOT appropriate for children under the age of three. Thoroughly wash your hands before and after making and playing with slime.
DIRECTIONS:
- First grab your mixing bowl and spoon.
- Pour out the entire contents of your 5oz bottle of Elmer’s Pink Glue into the bowl.
- Next add in 1/4 cup of Elmer’s Magical Liquid slime solution, into the bowl and mix it together with the pink glue.
- Mix everything together, until well incorporated. You will notice the mixture becoming harder to mix and the slime will begin to form.
- At this point in time, add in your small black buttons.
- Now take your slime out of the bowl and begin kneading it with both of your hands.
- Once it’s the consistency you like, set it aside in the bowl.
- Next grab your glass jar and green washi tape.
- Tear off a few stripes of the green washi tape and place them on the bottom edge of your grass jar, to make the watermelon “rind.” You can add as much as you want/make it as thick as you like.
- Now grab your watermelon slime and place it in the decorated jar.
- Then play with your new slime creation and when done, house it in a jar to create an everlasting watermelon slime mixture!
