Fingerprint Watermelon Card Craft Idea For Kids
Today’s Mixed Media Fingerprint Watermelon Card craft idea is something I came up with for young toddlers in mind.
I know sometimes our crafts on Glued To My Crafts can be a bit “difficult” for younger ones, so I made it my mission to add a little bit of easier tutorials for them to recreate this summer, as well!
This goal is starting today with this EASY cardstock paper mixed media watermelon craft!!! It’s got a total of FIVE supplies and the steps are very basic! In the end, they will have a paper card piece that will “look” like the inside of a sliced watermelon.

The Simple Supplies:
To recreate this Fingerprint Watermelon Seed Card craft, you will need TWO sheets of cardstock paper {one green/one pink} a pair of scissors, glue stick, a marker and either a black ink pad or black craft paint w/a paper plate.
Baby wipes are ALSO highly encouraged for easy cleanup along the way!

The Even Easier Steps:
First fold the sheet of green cardstock paper in half to make a simple card shape.
Next up – trim down the pink cardstock paper, so it fits on the front of the green cardstock card you just made. This will give the appearance of a watermelon slice.
Glue the newly cut pink cardstock piece to the center of the folded green cardstock card.
Now grab your black ink pad or black craft paint. Have children make “fingerprints” all over, for the watermelon seeds inside the pink cardstock piece. Use the baby wipes for easy cleanup.
When done decorating the front, use your markers to write a clever message like “you are one in a melon” inside, to tie the theme together.
And that’s it!!! Now give it away to the lucky receiver. Of course – repeat over and over again so everyone you know gets a handmade card today!
