Buzz-Worthy Honey Inspired Slime For Kids To Recreate
* Please keep in mind this is HONEY inspired and the glitter glue makes it look like honey. No real honey involved in this process, so please don’t eat as this can be toxic if ingested 🙂 *
It ALL started with a basic and fun, GOLD GLITTER GLUE bottle from Elmer’s and some small bee “buttons” I found at Walmart. Together they came together for some “pretend play” honey inspired SLIME!
It’s simply BUZZ-WORTHY and perfect for spring! So don’t delay! Make some “sticky” slime for bees with your child today by following our simple craft tutorial below! Just know that I found all my supplies at my local Michaels {the bee buttons at Walmart but I’m sure Michaels has some too} but if you need to, there are some Amazon affiliate links throughout my post to help you get started as well!
Happy SLIME-MAKING, my bee-tastic friends!!! Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook so you never miss a new tutorial from us! #gluedtomycrafts
PAIR YOUR HONEY SLIME WITH —> Paper Plate Honey Bee
HONEY SLIME CRAFT SUPPLIES:
* 1/4 cup Elmer’s Magical Liquid
* 1 {5 fl oz} Elmer’s GOLD GLITTER Glue
* Small Bee Buttons
Additional Supplies:
* 1 Bowl to mix your slime in
* 1/4 measuring cup
* Mixing Utensil {I prefer a spoon}
* Jar with Lid for storing
Adult supervision is ALWAYS required when making slime. This project is NOT appropriate for children under the age of three. Thoroughly wash your hands before and after making and playing with slime. Please also wear clothes that can get messy.
DIRECTIONS:
* First grab your mixing bowl and spoon. Pour out the entire contents of your 5oz bottle of Elmer’s Gold Glitter Glue into the bowl.
* Next add in 1/4 cup of Elmer’s Magical Liquid slime solution, into the bowl and mix it together with the glitter glue.
* Mix everything together, until well incorporated. You will notice the mixture becoming harder to mix and the slime will begin to form.
* At this point in time, add MORE glitter if you {cause glitter makes everything better!}
* Now take your slime out of the bowl and begin kneading it with both of your hands. Once it’s the consistency you like, it’s time to play!
* Add in your bee themed buttons to the mix {if desired – use scissors to cut off the plastic loops on the back of each button. This way they lay flat}
* Then play with your new honey inspired slime creation and when done, house it in a jar so it stays sticky fun for days!
