The Easiest Unicorn Slime & Container For Kids To Recreate!
Hi my dear crafty friends!!! Did you happen to catch our recent “unicorn slime” Facebook live?
In our recent Facebook live, I basically was giving a plug and sharing how easy it is to make slime with the help of some magic solution and colored glue from Elmer’s {you can learn more about the slime solution in our blog post HERE!}
Since the live demonstration was so successful with my Facebook fans {double YAY on that that!} I just had to share this quick post on my website, for my unicorn slime container I made, so people can refer to it with ease!
So let’s get to it! Keep scrolling for a simple run-down of what I did to make this unicorn slime and storage container come to life!

THE CONTAINER SUPPLIES I USED:
Like I mentioned in the Facebook live, the clear, plastic container I used for my slime, was found in the jewelry aisle of Michaels. Honestly I think it was originally intended for bead storage.
It was in a pack of three {pink, blue and green} for around $6 for the set {even cheaper with a good coupon!} There really wasn’t anything special to the pack or a real reason why I grabbed it. I just preferred this one since it had a pink lid on one of the containers, which fell in line with my unicorn slime idea I had in mind at the time.
Of course – you can use ANY container, shape or style, you may find. In fact – Michaels currently has a whole section of “clear, white lid slime containers” towards the front of the store in case you don’t find what I used for mine.
But on that note, please don’t feel limited by what I used in this tutorial or the Facebook live. There really is no wrong or right way on this one. I actually did a quick search on Amazon just now and THESE CONTAINERS seem pretty similar and would work too!

THE HOW-TO SLIME DIRECTIONS:
If you refer back to the Facebook live and my previous blog post, to make the slime all I did was pour my bottle of colored pink glue in a bowl, along with the magic solution.
Then I mixed it up with a spoon, got my hands in it to knead it some more and added some glitter for “extra unicorn flair.”
Then the solution did it’s magic and that was it! Easy peasy!!! This allowed me to focus more on the container for craft time – hint hint!

Final Notes:
To craft up the decorative container and have a great place to store my slime, all I did was hot glue some small paper flowers and a craft foam triangle horn to the container.
This gave the look of a unicorn and ultimately brought it to life. Then I took a simple black Sharpie marker and drew on some eyelashes, directly onto the container. At that point, you can add other embellishments you see fit.
Once done decorating the container, then fill it up with your slime mixture and get ready for some magical fun! SUPER SIMPLE!!! Just like in the Facebook live!!!
