Heart Doily Raccoon Valentine Card

Today’s DIY Paper Heart Doily Raccoon Valentine Card tutorial is a handmade piece that your child will be proud to give away this upcoming LOVESTRUCK holiday!

Heart Doily Raccoon Valentine Card

Paper Doily Raccoon Card

No tricks or mischievousness out of this tutorial! Whether for girl or boy, we hope our DIY Raccoon Paper Valentine idea inspires you!

Card Supplies:

  • Paper Trimmer
  • Paper Heart Punch
  • Small Gold Heart Doilies – one per raccoon card
  • Colored Cardstock Paper {I used dark brown and white}
  • Tape Runner Adhesive/Glue Stick
  • Paper Craft Scissors
  • Large Wiggle Eyes – two per raccoon card
  • Large Glue Dots
  • Chocolate Heart Candies – one per raccoon card

Directions:

  • First things first – use adhesive to adhere your gold paper heart doily to the center of a single sheet of white cardstock. This will be the raccoon’s head.
  • Next take your dark brown cardstock and cut out TWO heart shapes for the eyes and two half-circle ears. Adhere those to the paper doily.
  • Now, using a large glue dot, add your chocolate heart to the center of the doily to create the raccoon’s nose.
  • Finish off by adding on the googly eyes to the paper doily.
  • Now the final step – take your paper trimmer and NOW trim down your card to create the valentine. The size of yours may depend on how big you made your raccoon. I do not suggest these to go in an envelope but I think you knew that already 🙂
  • Then add other embellishments you see fit when done trimming.
  • Finally – it’s time to give away your Valentine’s Day raccoon card to someone special today!
