No tricks or mischievousness out of this adorable paper heart doily creature!
Whether for girl or boy, we hope our latest Raccoon Paper Heart Valentine craft idea inspires you! #gluedtomycrafts
Raccoon Valentine Card Supplies:
* Paper Trimmer
* Paper Heart Punch
* Small Gold Heart Doilies – one per raccoon card
* Colored Cardstock Paper {I used dark brown and white}
* Tape Runner Adhesive/Glue Stick
* Paper Craft Scissors
* Large Wiggle Eyes – two per raccoon card
* Large Glue Dots
* Chocolate Heart Candies – one per raccoon card {I used Reeses}
Directions:
Now I normally do these card crafts in a different step-by-step order but since everyone’s “bunny” could potentially be a different size from mine, I suggest working a bit backwards on this craft! Don’t make your final card shape until your paper doily bunny is done first.
* So on that note, first things first – use adhesive to adhere your gold paper heart doily to the center of a single sheet of white cardstock. This will be the raccoon’s head.
* Next take your dark brown cardstock and cut out TWO heart shapes for the eyes and two half-circle ears. Adhere those to the paper doily.
* Now, using a large glue dot, add your chocolate heart to the center of the doily to create the raccoon’s nose.
* Finish off by adding on the googly eyes to the paper doily.
* Now the final step – take your paper trimmer and NOW trim down your card to create the valentine. The size of yours may depend on how big you made your raccoon. I do not suggest these to go in an envelope but I think you knew that already 🙂
* Then add other embellishments you see fit when done trimming.
* Finally – it’s time to give away your Valentine’s Day raccoon card to someone special today!
