Paper Heart Doily Penguin Valentine Cards
Out of all the ideas I have presented this week, I say this Paper Heart Doily Penguin idea is the cutest for a young classroom setting. In fact, the first thing that came to mind as I was designing these, was kindergarten and 1st grade teachers making these for their children and giving them out on the BIG day.
It’s got a chocolate surprise in the center for his nose and that cute overall factor that you are probably looking for today }not to mention super unique from the stuff in the stores!}
Plus penguins are super great to craft up this time of year, with the winter season we are in. If Valentine’s Day isn’t your thing, tie our idea into story time or a lesson plan – wink wink!
So why wait to complete it? I got the tutorial below and it’s tried-and-true. I promise! Happy crafting {and gifting} my awesome friends! #gluedtomycrafts

PAIR YOUR VALENTINE PENGUIN CARDS WITH —> Paper & Handprint Penguin Cards – Kid Craft
Penguin Valentine Craft Supplies:
* Paper Trimmer/Scissors
* Small White Heart Doilies – one per penguin card
* Colored Cardstock Paper {black and orange}
* Small Wiggle Eyes – two per penguin card
* Tape Runner Adhesive/Glue Stick
* Large Glue Dots
* Chocolate Heart Candies – one per penguin card {I used Reeses}
Directions:
* First things first – whether using scissors or a paper trimmer, trim down your black cardstock into 5×5 inch squares. You will want ONE black piece per valentine.
* Next use your tape runner to adhere your paper doily heart to the center of the black cardstock. Repeat for each valentine. This is the penguin’s body with his white belly.
* Following that, use a large glue dot to add your heart chocolate to the center of his belly.
* Now take your wiggle eyes and them towards the top of the valentine.
* Grab your orange cardstock and scissors. Cut out TWO feet and a triangle nose for the penguin. Adhere those on to your valentine.
* Add other embellishments you see fit – like bows, glitter etc!
* Finally – it’s time to give your heart shaped penguin valentines away!
