Watermelon Valentine’s Day Cards
Although, the last few doily themed crafts on Glued To My Crafts, has been focused around the “heart shaped” doilies, I’m super excited for the sweet “change-up” today with this extra colorful watermelon valentines tutorial!!
Today we are using a more traditional circular paper doily, that are actually easier to find at most craft stores {least in my experience this past year!}
For this paper doily watermelon card craft tutorial, we are cutting a simple pink colored lace doily in half, to create watermelon slices that are smiling big on our card fronts. Best part? Since we cutting the doily in half, you can make TWO awesome handmade watermelon cards, at once, so two lucky receivers will be blessed with your craftiness this Valentine’s Day!
So if this watermelon card idea interests you and you want to make a few for Valentine’s Day, you can find the full tutorial below and “grow” some wonderful pieces within a matter of a few minutes!

These paper doily watermelon cards are perfect for Valentine’s Day fun! They’re easy to make and kids will love them.
Craft Supplies:
- Circular Paper Doilies
- Cardstock Paper
- Adhesive
- Scissors/Paper Trimmer
- Wiggle Eyes
- Black/Pink Craft Paint {or Sharpie markers}
Directions:
- First things first – take your circular paper doily and cut it into equal halves. This will give you TWO watermelon cards.
- Use adhesive to adhere one paper doily half to a sheet of lime green cardstock.
- Now cut around the half circle paper doily, leaving a little bit of a rim, to give the look of a watermelon slice.
- Next, adhere that piece to a sheet of white cardstock.
- Take your paper trimmer and NOW trim down your card to create the card. The size of yours may depend on how big you made your watermelon. Because of the odd shape of your card, I do suggest either gifting as is or making your own card {Pinterest would be my go-to place to learn how to make an envelope!}
- Add other embellishments you see fit {like adding on a face with the wiggle eyes and craft paint}
- Finally – it’s time to give away your Doily Valentine Watermelon Cards!
