Paper Doily Unicorn Craft Supplies:
* Paper Trimmer
* Small White Heart Doilies {one per unicorn card}
* Colored Cardstock Paper {some white being important!}
* Gold Scrapbook Paper
* Small Wiggle Eyes {two per unicorn card}
* Tape Runner Adhesive/Glue Stick
* Flower Stickers/Embellishments
* Basic Craft Scissors
* Large Glue Dots
* Chocolate Heart Candies {one per unicorn card – I used Reeses}
Directions:
Now I normally do these card crafts in a different step-by-step order but since everyone’s unicorn will be a different size, I suggest working a bit backwards! Don’t make your card shape until your paper doily unicorn is done first.
* So on that note, first things first – use adhesive to adhere your white paper doily to the center of a single sheet of cardstock {preferably something a shade darker than your white paper heart doily, so this portion of the unicorn POPS! I suggest a nice dark shade of pink or purple for Valentine’s Day}
* Next, take your white cardstock and trim out TWO small ears for your unicorn. At this point in time you would also trim out a unicorn horn from the gold paper.
* Use your adhesive to glue those to the heart doily you just adhered to the cardstock.
* Now take your wiggle eyes and place them down in the center of the paper heart doily.
* Use a large glue dot to now add your heart chocolate as the nose, on the bottom {tip} of the paper heart doily.
* Grab your flower embellishments and give your unicorn some beautiful hair.
* Now the final step – take your paper trimmer and NOW trim down your card to create the valentine. The size of yours may depends on how big you made your horn/how many flowers you added etc. I do not suggest these to go in an envelope but I think you knew that already 🙂 Add other embellishments you see fit when done trimming.
* Finally – it’s time to your creation gift away!

Customize It:
Don’t have or want to do chocolate? Maybe you want something that will mail flat in an envelope? Then skip the candy {like our image below} and instead just cut out an oval shaped cardstock nose shape instead! Still super adorable but a better fit for what you need!
