DIY Felt Gingerbread Men Cookies – Pretend Play Pieces For Christmas
It wouldn’t be Christmas without making cookies, right? But who wants the mess of making them or the crumby mess afterwards?!
No worries, friends! I’ve solved that problem with today’s “felt gingerbread men cookies” craft tutorial!
With just some tan craft felt, my Sizzix die cut machine {affiliate link} craft glue and a little puffy paint – you too can make this completely customizable pretend play cookie craft with ease!
Then use them in a play kitchen, with a tea set or even as a party photo prop. Whatever you do, we hope YOU have fun with it!!!
The Craft Supplies and How-To:
To recreate – you will need a Sizzix die-cut machine and THIS Gingerbread Man DIE {affiliate link.}
Simply run your gingerbread die through your machine with the tan felt. Make as many pieces as you like!
Then use your trusty {and my favorite affiliate link} Tulip Puffy Paint to decorate them, along with glitter, sequins, buttons – whatever you have on hand!
When finished decorating, set aside to let them dry completely, before playing with proudly!!!
Wouldn’t these pretend play felt gingerbread men cookies be pretty in a simple gift box?
You could include other pretend play pieces with the gift, like a tea set or baking tools! Best part about that idea? Kids can “bake” them over and over again & you don’t have to deal with the mess afterwards! Smart thinking, am I right?!
So many possibilities with this DIY idea and we hope you run with it! We also have our Cinnamon Rolls & Spaghetti – Felt Pretend Play Set post for you to check out and pair it with today’s crafty idea!
Happy crafting {and gifting} my friends!!! Don’t forget to share pictures of your gingerbread men cookie creations {if and when you recreate it!} on our Facebook page wall to admire from a far this season! #gluedtomycrafts
