Calling my all my crafty friends that LOVE a good DIY {especially around the holidays!!!} I promise you, you are going to be inspired to take some ordinary craft materials and create some one-of-a-kind Christmas pieces!

Whether to add to your holiday gifts or perhaps you even decide to turn them into ornaments for the tree – we have endless inspiration for you in this gingerbread man face themed Christmas tutorial!!!

The perfect gift tag for a gingerbread man party! Kids love to be crafty. Here’s your chance to turn some circles into cute wooden gingerbread man gift tags!

CRAFT SUPPLIES:

  • To recreate these super adorable cookie wood tags, you will need some flat unfinished 3.25 inch wooden circles {I found mine in the wood craft aisles of Michaels, my trusty Tulip Puffy Paint {in shades of white, black & pink} light brown craft paint, a paint brush, scissors, hot glue gun and ribbon/twine for the back.

DIRECTIONS:

  • First things first – paint your wooden circle completely brown. Repeat for each gingerbread man you are making.
  • Next grab your puffy paint and draw on eyes, a mouth and “frosting” around the edges.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry {puffy paint typically takes a few hours to dry FYI!}
  • Next cut off a piece of twine/ribbon to make your piece into a gift tag {or into an ornament!}
  • Finally, finish off your Gingerbread Man Face Gift Tag by hot glue your ribbon/twine to the back of the wood slice.
  • Then set aside again to let it dry completely before gifting away proudly!!!
