5-Minute DIY Witch Hat Candy Jar – Halloween Gift Idea
When it comes to the holidays, I love gifting handmade things to friends and family.
Like most people, it makes my heart really happy to give, rather than receive.
BUT let’s face it – when I’m already running around like a crazy person trying to get the ten million other things off my to-do list in preparation of the actual holiday, I too get lazy and overwhelmed.
Even though I’m a crafty person, sometimes the juices just run out.
So when I stumbled on these “Witch Hat Picks” at my local Michaels in their Halloween Floral Department, I knew they would come in handy for a gift idea I had in mind!
The Craft Supplies:
When I say this DIY Witch Hat Candy Jar gift idea only takes 5 minutes – I really mean it!!!
To recreate this candy jar craft, all you need is the small decorative witch hat {found at Michaels} craft wire cutters, super glue and a large mason jar full of goodies {like candy corn, small trinkets or even a fun bake mix!}
The DIY Directions:
Ready for the easy “craft” part? Snip off the “pick part” of the witch hat and hot glue the hat to the lid of the mason jar.
Then set side in an undisturbed area to let it dry and that’s it! At this point, you can also tie a pretty Halloween gift tag or just pretty ribbon around the jar as well!
And then gift away your “witch-tastic” candy jar and pat yourself on the back for a crafty job-well-done!
Now these are the types of handmade gifts I like! I made an impressive piece by “hand” but it didn’t take hours to do it!
So on that note, I hope my 5-minute Witch Hat Jar post inspires a little crafty gift inspiration in your today!
Happy crafting {and gifting} this upcoming Halloween season!! If you recreate today’s witch hat candy jar tutorial, come share pictures of your creations on our Facebook page to see! #gluedtomycrafts
