White Yarn Tassel Ghost Gift Tag

DIY White Yarn Tassel Ghost - Halloween Gift Tag

White Yarn Tassel Ghost Gift Tag Craft

Dear friends. I’m going to say this nicely. Gift giving DOESN’T need to be scary this time of year!!!

Now that I got that off my chest, let’s snaz up even the simplest Halloween “surprise” with today’s White Tassel Ghost Halloween Gift Tag idea!

Inspired by a tassel maker I picked up at my local Target store {I honestly couldn’t resist buying it!} this DIY is super easy and rather inexpensive too! Tie your finished ghost friends to a gift box, a gift bag or even turn them into bookmarks by tying them to a long piece of cardstock.

So many ideas to make this “spook-tacular” craft work in your favor! All it requires is a few wraps of white yarn around your tassel maker, some googly wiggle eyes and a hole punched small circle “mouth” to bring this tasseled ghost friend to life within minutes!

Now enough words from me. Don’t be spooked – find the full tutorial below! Happy crafting and of course – happy gifting, as well! Be sure to FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK so you never miss a new tutorial from us!

White Tassel Ghost Craft Supplies

Craft Supplies:

  • Tassel Maker
  • White Craft Yarn
  • Basic Craft Scissors
  • Small Wiggle Eyes – two per ghost tassel
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • Hole Punch
  • School Glue or Hot Glue Gun

Directions:

  • Follow the directions provided with your tassel maker. Usually this involves wrapping the yarn several times around one section and then tying off & cutting it to create the tassel. Since each tassel maker device is different – please refer to your product directions to complete this step 🙂 This step requires the white yarn to make the ghost body.
  • Once you have the tassel made, string some string through the top part so you can tie it to your gift.
  • Now you are ready for the embellishments! Glue TWO wiggle eyes for your ghost to see and use your hole punch to punch a “mouth” out of the black cardstock. Glue that to the tassel as well.
  • Then add other embellishments {maybe a small bow for a girl or a bowtie for a boy} and add it to your gift for some Halloween flair!
