It’s the only creepy-crawly thing I want to see on anyone’s head this time of year!
Today’s #CuteNotScary Spider Hair Bow DIY tutorial is just that – it’s not scary at all to wear or MAKE! I promise!!!
So let’s go down memory lane for a little bit.
Last week as I was walking the aisles of my local Michaels craft store, trying to brainstorm some new blog post ideas, I came across this basic black hair bow on an endcap {over by the fabric paint aisle!}
Although I personally don’t have a little girl in my home at the moment {proud boy mom right here!} I still couldn’t resist adding it to my cart. Afterall – adults can wear hairbows too ;-) right?!
After playing around with some ideas in my head, I started to see a spider in the works! So when I came home and got my hot glue gun out – the #cutenotscary spider came to life!
If you want to recreate this DIY Spider Hair Bow – simply grab some scissors, your large black hair bow {affiliate link to one similar} THREE black pipe cleaners, black craft felt, wiggle eyes, a smaller craft bow for the spider’s head and your hot glue gun.
To begin, simply cut out a small circle for the spider’s body from the black craft felt.
Next, bend/twist together your pipe cleaners for the legs.
Hot glue the pipe cleaners legs to the center/front of the black hair bow, with the black felt circle on top.
Then finish off by hot gluing the wiggle eyes and a nice mini bow on it, to tie it all together.
Then add your hair clip to the back of the bow and wear it proudly!!!

So now that I’m addicted to how easy bow making is, I’ll be sharing more hair bow creations in the coming weeks, especially some quick and easy ones for Christmas!!! Till then, check out our Unicorn Hair Bow tutorial! #lifeofacrafter
Happy crafting, my friends!!! #gluedtomycrafts
