Owl On Branch Keepsake With Handprint Element

In this post, I’ve included a gender-neutral tree branch printable template, so all you need to do is print the file, grab some craft paint and have your children add their handprint to complete the “owl” themed craft. It’s so simple, you have NO excuse NOT to do it!

Craft Supplies:
- Free Autumn Branch Template Printable {GRAB IT ON BOX.COM}
- White Cardstock Paper
- Color Printer
- Washable Craft Paint {we used orange}
- Large, Foam Paint Brush
- Paper Plate
- Baby Wipes
- Cardstock Paper
- Paper Scissors
- Glue Stick
- optional materials for this craft – embellishments like glitter glue, rhinestones etc.

Directions:
- First grab the tree branch printable {listed above in the supply list} and print it out, in color, on a single sheet of white cardstock {or any color you like!}
- Grab your craft paint and squirt it on the paper plate.
- Pick a hand – any hand!
- Paint the palm of your child’s hand completely and press it in the center of the printable on the tree branch.
- Now grab some cardstock and start adding embellishments to give the handprint the look of an owl. I did some paper cutouts and wiggle eyes but you are more than welcome to do whatever you like on this part!
- Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
- Add other embellishments you see fit, as well as having children sign their name on the bottom of the keepsake.
- Then display/gift proudly!
