CRAFT STICK HOT DOG CRAFT TUTORIAL:
Hot Dog Craft Supplies: To complete this pigeon book themed craft, you will need two mini popsicle sticks, three jumbo popsicle sticks, school glue, pink craft paint, a paint brush, red/yellow puffy paint, scissors and light brown cardstock.
The Simple Directions: Simply glue together TWO mini popsicle sticks and THREE jumbo popsicle sticks to create a “fence.” Repeat for each hot dog you want to make.
Next have children paint the front of their newly made popsicle stick shape to give it the look of a hot dog {I did pink but you could also mix some red and brown paint for a more realistic hot dog color}
While they are working on that, cut out a oval “bun” shape from the brown cardstock. Remember – you will want it slightly bigger than your popsicle stick shape.
To finish off the Hot Dog Craft, glue the popsicle stick shape and cardstock bun pieces together and add some puffy paint “ketchup and mustard” on top. Set aside to let it dry completely and display proudly!
