Get creative with the kiddos this weekend and make your own thumbprint flamingo cards! This fun craft is sure to bring out their inner artists.
Craft Supplies:
- Washable, Pink Ink Pad
- Baby Wipes
- White Cardstock Paper
- Cardstock Card Fronts
- Paper Trimmer or Paper Craft Scissors
- Adhesive or Glue Stick
- Thin Tip Sharpie Markers
Directions:
- First things first – use a paper trimmer or some basic craft scissors, to trim down a piece of white cardstock paper to add to your pre-folded cardstock card fronts.
- Open up your ink pad and grab your piece of white cardstock you just trimmed down.
- Use your thumb to make TWO pink “thumbprints” {for the body and head of the flamingo} on the paper. Simply press your thumb on the ink pad and then on the paper card front. Use our picture above as an example for placement.
- When done with the thumbprint step, clean off excess ink from fingers with a baby wipe {or two} and quick trip to the sink.
- Then use the Sharpie markers to draw on flamingo features on the two thumbprints {like a black nose and orange stick legs.}
- Once done decorating, glue your white piece of paper to the card front with your choice of adhesive.
- For added fun – add some colorful glitter glue, stickers and small polka dots around the edge for festive flair on your thumbprint flamingo cards!
- Then write a quick message inside your card and gift it away for the lucky receiver!
