Hi friends – just popping in because I wanted to share a fast but super adorable spring themed kid craft idea for the older kids to make today!
This Cotton Pad Dandelion Art tutorial is really easy to pull together on the fly and honestly there is no real direction or strict tutorial to it either! It’s just a FUN mixed media art project you can make with your child today, without any hassle or rules!
And what can I say? At Glued To My Crafts we absolutely LOVE easy crafts that anyone can complete and interpret however they like. In turn, the “crafter” will have a one-of-a-kind masterpiece they are proud of and will want to show off ALL YEAR LONG! It’s a win, win for EVERYONE!
To recreate this mixed media dandelion themed craft, just let kids glue several round, white cotton pads {found in the nail care aisle or through our affiliate link} to a single sheet of cardstock with some thick tacky glue.
Next have them draw on embellishments {the stems, grass, the inside part of the dandelion} with black & green puffy paint to bring the dandelion themed craft to life.
Then finally, add other embellishments you see fit before setting it aside to let it dry completely. When dry, display proudly for ALL to see!
This idea can be displayed as is {I mean – it is a work of art that needs to be showed off!} OR you turn your finished pieces into cards to mail away to friends and family far away!
Looks super easy, right? I sure hope you see the vision like I do and that it inspires you and your child to get crafty together today!
