Make your own nighttime scene come to life with today’s Paper City Skyline Silhouette kid craft idea!
A silhouette is a little bit like a shadow. It’s often dark, filled in with outlines of a shape against a light colored background. Many times you see building silhouettes at night, especially in big towns and cities.
So what are you waiting for? Make this cool city paper scene with just some cardstock, glue and a little crafty imagination. You can even mimic it against what you actually see around your area at night. Maybe even make it a “craft night party” and see what everyone comes up with!
Super simple to make and I hope it inspires YOU! Happy crafting, my friends!!! #gluedtomycrafts
City Skyline Silhouette Supplies:
* Colored Cardstock {most importantly black and a light color for the background}
* Kid Friendly Paper Scissors
* School Glue
* Loose Craft Glitter or Glitter Glue
Directions:
* First cut out some buildings from the black cardstock and glue them to your lighter piece of cardstock. Make sure to leave some blank space so it looks like a skyline.
* Next cut out small pieces of paper to make the building scene come to life. Make square and rectangle shapes for windows & doors. You can even make circles and triangles for an even cooler look Go ahead and glue those to the black cardstock buildings.
* Finish off your City Skyline by adding a car/truck to the road below and make small dots of glue in the “sky” with sprinkled glitter on top for stars. Then set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!
