Popsicle Stick Car Puppets – Kids Craft

Our latest and greatest tutorial is inspired by my six year old car-loving son! Today I present YOU our Popsicle Stick Car Puppets kid craft tutorial!

These DIY car inspired craft pieces are perfect for pretend play, as well as party decor {just stick the finished pieces in a cupcake for added flair!} I could even see these as a fun idea for story time in a classroom setting!

THE CRAFT SUPPLIES:

To “rev up this idea” all you need is ONE jumbo popsicle stick and FOUR regular popsicle sticks per car puppet craft. You also need school glue, cardstock paper, scissors and paint crayons/Sharpie markers.

THE DIRECTIONS:

You are going to start out by gluing your popsicle sticks together like a sign {use our pictures for an example.} Now have children decorate them however they like with paint, colored cardstock and markers! Heck – throw in some glitter glue flames if you like!

Just note, that the smaller piece of the jumbo popsicle stick will look like a little person peeking out of the car and is perfect to customize to your child’s looks!

And that’s it! Easy peasy, right!?
