Whether you are heading to the pool, the beach or just want to make something “mer-tastic” to create with your child today – I sure hope our Wood Round Mermaid Clothespins tutorial influences YOU!
The other day I was browsing the aisles of my local Michaels store, when I came across these awesome Wood Round Clothespins. To me they had the PERFECT mermaid shape to them. Wam bam – here are we today!
All you need to do is paint the bottom tips of your round clothespins green and then follow that up by drawing on a face with a black marker on the rounded area. Finish off by gluing some red craft felt hair to the back of the piece and a studded jewel bra to the middle to complete the look!
By simply changing the colors used in this project, you can convey ANY look and feel you want! Pick fun colors or patterns that are unique to you and your child!
Also don’t be afraid to play around with textures {like different types of small rhinestones/felt scraps/glitter!} This has complete customization at your fingertips and I hope we inspired you! Happy crafting, my friends!
