Happy Tuesday my dear friends!!! Are you as BIG of a fan of the Pete the Cat children’s book character, as we are around here? Of course you are – I mean who isn’t?! He’s got some groovy learning lessons to share and I love the message behind them. Even adults need to hear them – just saying!
Anyways… recently my son and I made this adorable Popsicle Stick Pete The Cat Puppet together and it’s the PERFECT way to celebrate our favorite book author and make a children’s story-time friend together!
Plus it makes for a great pretend piece and/or decor piece to keep for years to come {not to mention – this Pete The Cat puppet piece makes for a great bookmark piece too!}

Pete The Cat Puppet Craft Supplies:
* Jumbo Popsicle Sticks {2 per Pete puppet craft}
* Dark Blue Craft Paint
* Paint Brush
* Small Paper Plate
* Basic School Glue
* Dark Blue Colored Cardstock
* Yellow Colored Cardstock
* White Cardstock
* Kid Friendly Craft Scissors
* Black Sharpie Marker
Directions:
* First glue your two jumbo popsicle sticks together to look like a cross. This will be the arms and body of cat.
* Set aside to let it dry completely.
* Next is the painting step. Just have children paint the front of their popsicle stick design completely blue.
* While they are working on that – grab the cardstock and your scissors.
* Go ahead and cut out a head, along with features to give him life.
* To finish off the Popsicle Stick Pete Cat Puppet – glue the cardstock pieces in place and add other embellishments you see fit.
* Then set it aside to let it dry completely before displaying and/or playing with proudly!!!
