Directions:

  • First things first – you will want to paint all your paper eggs completely orange.
  • When done painting, set them aside to let them dry completely.
  • While your eggs are drying, grab your green craft felt.
  • Cut out two-inch wide, long strips out of the felt. One strip per egg.
  • Now cut slits along the side half way up, all the way to the end of our strip to create a fringe.
  • Once done, start rolling it up like a carrot top and hot glue it all together so it doesn’t come unraveled.
  • To finish off your Paper Mache Carrot Eggs – hot glue your felt pieces to the top of each egg.
  • Then display proudly {or use for pretend play with your child!}

Decorative Strawberry Egg Decor

STRAWBERRY EGGS!

Not a fan of carrots? You can also make “strawberries” this way as well! Just change the paint to red and make your felt pieces a little bit smaller than you would for carrots. ALSO I drew on “strawberry seeds” with a black Sharpie. Just as easy and perfect for summer!

Decorative Pineapple Egg For Easter Decor

PINEAPPLE EGG!

Take the idea and make a pineapple instead! Just use yellow paint, a brown Sharpie and extend the felt to be a little bit longer!
