Pumpkin Front Porch Display Idea Using Wood Pallet Boxes
I’ve been meaning to write this blog post up for awhile now but Halloween stuff just kept on getting in the way. Well no more excuses because today I’m finally sharing how I made these Pallet Box Pumpkins within an HOUR!
Yes – an hour!!!
Have you ever walked into a craft or Dollar Tree store and just knew you were going to make an awesome project that day? Story of your life – right?!
Well – long story short, a few weeks back I was enjoying lunch with my hubby at the mall when I twisted his arm to let me go to Joanns {just FIVE minutes – please!!!} After wandering around the store for a few minutes, I came across these small premade pallet boxes. Best part? They were on clearance for $4 each. SCORE! {I may have done an awkward happy dance at this point}
After admiring my amazing find, it instantly came to me. These would make for awesome PUMPKINS on the front porch! So I hurried through the rest of the store to gather my other materials and the rest is history {thanks hubby!}
Although my tutorial is kinda bare today {I actually did this craft when everyone was sleeping so no step-by-step pictures sadly} but I do hope it does lead to some inspiration for you!
Happy creating your very own pumpkins from wood pallets, my friends!!! Please don’t forget to follow us on Facebook so you never miss a new tutorial from us! I can’t wait to “meet” you there! #gluedtomycrafts

Craft Supplies:
- Small Wooden Pallet Boxes – one per pumpkin piece
- Orange Craft Paint
- Brown Craft Paint
- Large Paint Brushes
- Rectangular Wood Piece {for the pumpkin stem}
- Decorative Leaves/Twigs {for around the pumpkin stem}
- Wood Glue
Directions:
- First paint the front & sides of your pallet completely orange. If you like – add some strokes of different shades of orange, yellow and some brown to give the pallet/pumpkin a more rustic/dimensional look.
- Set aside to allow them to dry completely.
- Go ahead and paint your small rectangular wood piece completely brown. This is the pumpkin’s stem.
- Now you are ready to assemble your Pallet Pumpkin. Simple glue your brown rectangular to the top of your pallet and add some decorative leaves/twigs around it, to really give it the look of a pumpkin.
- Then display proudly on your front porch for all to see this fall season!!!
