Everybody play BALL!!!

Although I’m personally not a big fan of baseball – I am however a BIG fan of today’s super simple Paper Plate Baseball Kid Craft! Paired with one of my son’s new favorite books {Pete The Cat : Play Ball! by James Dean} it’s the perfect excuse to knock some story time and craft time right out of the ball park!

Pete the Cat is ready to play baseball! Pete’s team, the Rocks, is playing the Rolls. But when the game doesn’t go Pete’s way, what will Pete do?

So what are you waiting for? Be a good sport and grab the supplies listed below so you can get to work on this “strike out” craft today! Don’t forget to read the book in honor of your “groovy” creation and be sure to find the perfect spot to show it off too!

Paper Plate Baseball Craft Supplies:

* Large Paper Plate {one per craft}
* White Tissue Paper
* Red Colored Cardstock
* Basic School Glue
* Scissors

Directions:

* First cut your tissue paper into small squares {great for practicing cutting skills}
* Next put a good amount of glue all over the paper plate. Have children place the white tissue paper on top of the glue, until it’s completely covered.
* While they are working on that, cut out some stripes from the red cardstock, for the stitching on the baseball.
* To finish off the Paper Plate Baseball kid craft – simple glue the cardstock pieces on the paper plate. Then display proudly! {or add other embellishments to really make it your own!}
