Flag Cards Made With Washi Tape

Two things I absolutely love – handmade cards and washi tape {you can’t go wrong with either!}

And since I’m all about sending handmade cards out for every occasion, today I wanted to share with you all how simple these DIY Washi Tape Flag Cards are to make on the fly, as well as on a very small, tight budget!!!

This cardmaking craft is super easy {even for the novice} and doesn’t require special tools or supplies.

In fact –all you need to do is tear some washi tape off the roll and place it on a {shocker} pre-made store bought card, in a flag design.

Washi Tape Flag Card Craft Idea For Kids

Get creative with your Fourth of July festivities this year! Use colorful washi tape to make your own flag cards – perfect for decorations, gifts, or the perfect personalized card.

Craft Supplies:

  • Red Washi Tape
  • White Washi Tape
  • Blue Washi Tape
  • Pre-made Cardstock Cards
  • optional – star stickers, glitter glue

Directions:

  • To create your flag design, first tear off strips of red/white washi tape {all the same size} and place them down in a rectangular/flag design on the card front {alternating in color – red, white, red, white}
  • Now tear off a smaller amount of blue washi tape and place it in the top left corner to finish the look of the flag.
  • Add other embellishments you see fit {like star stickers/glitter glue etc.} or leave as is.
  • Then write a sweet message inside and mail to the lucky receiver!
