
Paper Plate Little Red Hen {Kid Craft}
Hi my beautiful crafty readers! I’m so glad you landed on our red hen paper craft tutorial today!
It’s another kid friendly craft that goes along perfectly with one of my favorite childhood stories. You probably already know some sort of version of the Little Red Hen story {affiliate link to book on Amazon} and today’s kid friendly craft goes along perfectly with it!
Not only is this paper plate hen craft super simple, inexpensive and fun for all ages – but it also ties everything together with the classic story. You can easily make a full afternoon out of it as you celebrate some crafty time, as well as storytime!

PAIR YOUR RED HEN CRAFT WITH —> Popsicle Stick Little Red Hen – Kid Craft
Red Hen Craft Supplies:
* Large Paper Plate – one per hen craft
* Red Tissue Paper
* Orange/Red/Blue/White Cardstock Paper
* School Glue
* Craft Scissors
* Hand-Held Office Stapler
* Black Sharpie Marker
Directions:
* First cut your red tissue paper into small squares {let the kids practice their cutting skills}
* Take your paper plate and put a good amount of glue all over it.
* Have children place the tissue paper on top of the glue, until the paper plate is completely covered.
* While they are working on that, cut out the Little Red Hen’s facial features from the cardstock. Think eyes, beak, hat etc.
* To finish off the Little Red Hen kid craft – staple/glue the cardstock pieces in their designated spots on the paper plate.
* Then display proudly! {or add other embellishments to really make it your own!}
