Paper Plate Easter Chick – Spring Kid Craft Idea
Calling all my crafty kids! I have another fun kid friendly craft for you all today and it’s absolutely perfect to make in honor of the upcoming Easter holiday or even all spring long!
Not only is our Paper Plate Chick {Kid Craft} super simple and fun for all ages – but it also goes along PERFECTLY with the wacky {but super fun} book There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Chick! by Lucille Colandro.
With rhyming text and funny illustrations, this lively version of a classic song will appeal to young readers with every turn of the page–a fun story for Easter!
So why does the old lady swallow a chick? Well – you will have to read the book to find out and celebrate with our paper chick craft afterwards! Find all the details you need to know, below!
Happy crafting my friends! {by the way – our Handprint Chick w/free printable template also goes along perfectly with this book!} Don’t forget to share pictures of your finished paper plate and tissue paper chick on our Facebook page to see!

* Now grab the yellow cardstock and trace your child’s hands on it. Trim those out.
