Paper Plate Love Monster Craft
Are you still looking for some ideas for you and your child to do in honor of Valentine’s Day? Well – today I’m adding another Valentine themed kid craft to the website archives and it goes perfectly with the popular book “Love Monster” by Rachel Bright.
Ironically this love monster themed kid friendly activity is titled the same as the book and uses my favorite craft medium for kid crafts – large paper plates!
So what are you waiting for? Stop being a “monster” {ok, that may be a little harsh} but seriously – grab your supplies so you can make this Paper Plate Love Monster {Kid Craft} with your child today. {psst – don’t forget to grab the book to read after your do the craft!}

PAIR OUR LOVE MONSTER CRAFT WITH —> Craft Stick Love Monster
Love Monster Craft Supplies:
* Paper Plates {large or small, one per monster craft}
* Tissue Paper – any color you like!
* Our Free EYEBALL Printable – GRAB THE MONSTER EYE PRINTABLE ON BOX.COM
* Color Printer
* White Cardstock
* Colored Cardstock Paper
* School Glue
* Kid Friendly Craft Scissors
* Hand-Held Office Stapler
optional materials – glitter glue, Valentine’s Day stickers, rhinestones etc.
Directions:
* First things first – if you haven’t already, go ahead and print off our FREE EYEBALL PRINTABLE listed above.
* Once you have it printed out on a single sheet of white cardstock, go ahead and cut out the eyeball shapes for your monster.
* Now grab your paper plate, tissue paper and glue.
* Cut out a few squares of tissue paper for your monster.
* Go ahead a put a good layer of glue all over the paper plate and start laying your tissue paper squares on top, until it’s completely covered.
* When done with that step, set it aside till later.
* Now grab your remaining sheets of colored cardstock and start cutting out some other features for the monster. Think teeth, ears, antennas, hair etc {whatever you want for your monster!}
* To finish off the Paper Plate Monster kid craft – staple/glue the cardstock pieces in their designated spots on the tissue paper covered paper plate, as well as the decorative eyes.
* Then display proudly! {or add other embellishments to really make it your own!}
