Since I’m all about sending handmade cards out for every occasion, today I wanted to share with you all, how simple these DIY Craft Button Pumpkin are to make on the fly and gift away this fall season!
This “button pumpkin themed” card making craft is super easy {even for the novice crafter} and doesn’t require special tools or supplies. In fact – all you need to be able to do is place a glue dot on an orange button and lay it on a cardstock card. That’s it!
All I had to do was assemble the button part of the card, draw on some embellishments and 5 minutes later – I had some pretty, one-of-a-kind happy mail to send to friends & family. Perfect for FALL and THANKSGIVING!

* Premade Cards {or make your own!}
* Colored/White Cardstock
* Large Glue Dots {affiliate link}
* Tape Runner Adhesive
* Basic Craft Scissors
* Green Sharpie Marker
* Brown Sharpie Marker
* Black Sharpie Marker
* optional – ink/craft stamps
Directions:
* First {if you haven’t already} make your card and card front. I took pre-made brown store-bought cards and added a smaller white rectangle to the front of mine. Repeat for each card you want.
* Now decide how many pumpkins you want on your card. Pull out that many orange craft buttons.
* One by one, place a glue dot on the back of your orange craft buttons and place them in the center of your card front.
* Using your sharpie markers, draw a green leaf and brown stem coming from orange buttons you just placed down.
* Now write or stamp a sentiment underneath and around your button design.
* Repeat all the steps above, for all button pumpkin cards you want to make.
* Then admire your work and gift away!

Super simple, right? And of course you can take this button pumpkin idea can go beyond cards and instead use it for gift tags & place card holders. You can even change out the colors of the buttons to represent apples. The possibilities are endless so let’s keep those creative juices flowing!!
