Felt Jack O’ Lantern Busy Bag Set
Happy Saturday friends! It’s time for another busy bag idea and this one will get your littles excited for Halloween and carving pumpkins. Plus you should be excited to know, it’s super easy and cheap to make! {I promise!}
The concept behind this busy bag idea is very similar to the game Mr. Potato Head. Basically you cut out various pieces out of colored felt {think hats, eyes, mouths etc.} Then children can make silly faces or any other designs they like, with their new Felt Jack-O-Lantern busy bag game. This craft takes minute but the creativity is long term!
And since it’s made out of basic craft felt, you don’t need a sewing machine or any special equipment. Just scissors and a little imagination to make it happen!
Then once they are done playing with their felt jack-o-lantern pieces, put it all in a baggie and store away for safe keeping. {So much easier to store than Mr Potato Head – am I right?!}
Find all the details below and recreate it today for your little one! #gluedtomycrafts

Busy Bag Supplies:
- Various Sheets of Craft Felt {orange being VERY important!}
- Fabric Scissors
- Plastic Bag for Storage
The Directions:
- First cut a large pumpkin shape out of orange felt. Set those aside.
- Next you can probably google/Pinterest some templates, but I pretty much eyeballed the rest of the designs. I did some basic shapes like circles, squares, triangles, flowers etc. Then I did some hats, mouths and scarfs. And since every pumpkin needs a mustache – I did one of those too.
- Once you are all done with your felt pieces, just have your child stick them on the pumpkin cutout, in various ways. The felt pieces will stick/lay on top of each other nicely, so need for anything special like glue or velcro.
- When done playing with the jack-o-lantern busy bag set, simple place everything in a large plastic bag for easy storage, till next time!
