Recycled Egg Carton Christmas Bells {Kid Craft}
Let’s just say, that this recycled egg carton Christmas bells craft is THE art project to recreate this holiday season.
It’s got a little bit of recycling, music fun thrown in and can be made with supplies you already have in your home. Not to mention, it’s super fun for all ages to make & shake with!!!
For us, after we played some cool “jams” with our newly made egg carton bells, we ended up hanging them on the Christmas tree till we were ready to pick up where we left off. With that being said – they make for great ornaments or gift package toppers, as well!
So if you have an empty cardboard egg carton laying around {which I’m sure you do!} you are well on your way to crafting these recycled bells up within minutes. I can only imagine how much fun you and your child will have customizing each piece and playing some tunes together afterwards. You might even get an amazing jingle bell concert with the whole family in the living room! Wouldn’t that be awesome?!
Here is what you need to make your own Egg Carton Christmas Bells:

Egg Carton Bell Craft Supplies:
* Empty and Clean Cardboard Egg Carton – this will give you 12 bells
* Basic Craft Scissors
* Various Colors of Craft Paint {any color you like!}
* Foam Paint Brushes
* Small Paper Plate
* Pipe Cleaners {one per bell}
* Small Craft Bells {PARENTAL SUPERVISION REQUIRED}

Egg Carton Bells Craft Directions:
1. First things first – separate and trim up the cardboard egg carton with your craft scissors. Each section of the egg carton will be one Christmas bell. You could easily make 12 bells today!
2. Once the egg carton is trimmed up into smaller pieces, go ahead and squirt your craft paint on the paper plate. Grab the paint brush and paint your egg carton pieces however you like. When done painting, set aside each piece to allow them to dry completely.
3. When the paint is dry, you are going to attach the bells inside. Use your scissors to pierce a small hole in the center of each painted egg carton piece. Then take one pipe cleaner and string one bell on it {get the bell in the center of the pipe cleaner} fold the pipe cleaner in half and string that through the hole of the egg carton piece to make a loop. Finally tie it off so the bell hangs inside nicely.
4. And that’s it! Then ring your egg carton bells to hear the jingle and hang them on the tree to let them mingle ;)
* I mentioned this above in the supplies but if you are doing this craft with small children or small children will be around the bells, please supervise them AT ALL TIMES or change out the materials. These small bells can be choking hazards. Please use caution! You can always substitute out the bells and just do this craft as plain decorations for the tree instead.
