My husband is a die-hard Ohio State Fan. Unfortunately for him, his wife isn’t. I cheer on craft companies – not football teams.
As I type this very post, I can still see him screaming “Go Bucks!” and doing a fist pump. Oh how I miss him!
Even though he’s currently deployed – he still manages to tell me ALL about what his favorite team is up to these days. He even “informed” me of the games that Ohio State will be playing when he gets back. I’m guessing he’s planning on taking over the TV or something?!?!
Normally I would be fighting tooth to the nail, so I don’t have to watch the games. I rather be out doing something fun or watching Lifetime movies on the weekend. But since he’s been gone for over five months, I guess I can let him watch a game or two…..
I’ve mentioned it before on the blog, but the thing that makes football season bearable for me – is the food. If you have promises of good food at your tailgating party, I am more likely to attend and stay.
Just don’t mind me. I will be the blonde in the corner stuffing her face – while everyone else is cheering on their team. If you ask me anything about the game, I will point you in the direction of the chips & dip or pour you a drink. That is all you will get from me ;)
And if you were to invite me to your “said” tailgating party – I would make these awesome Milky Way, Pretzel and Coconut Loaded Cookies to share. These cookies have a bit of salty and sweat taste mixed together in a yummy cookie. It’s sure to be a crowd pleaser on game day. My favorite part is the caramel from the melted Milky Way Bites I threw in. YUM! {Excuse me why I wipe the drool off my chin}
So let’s grab our aprons, find the full recipe below and get to baking cause you will want to give these Milky Way Bites, Pretzel & Coconut Loaded Cookies a try!

Loaded Cookies Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 cups pretzels, broken
1/2 cups coconut flakes
1 1/2 cups Milky Way Bites {7 oz bag}
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350. In a large bowl, you will want to cream your butter and sugar together, until light & fluffy. Then beat in the eggs and vanilla. Set bowl aside.
2. In another bowl combine your flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Gradually add in your creamed mixture. Set aside.
3. Next place your pretzels in a plastic baggie and break/hammer them into small pieces with a knife. Add broken pretzels to bowl with cookie dough mixture.
4. Using a knife, take your Milky Way Bites and slice them into smaller pieces. I cut some into halves, while others were smaller when I cut them into fourths. Add your bites to cookie dough mixture.
5. Now you are ready to throw in your last ingredient, the coconut flakes, into the cookie dough mixture. Stir all together, until well combined. {Don’t be scared to get your hands dirty!}
6. Shape 1/4 cupfuls of dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets about 3 inches apart from each other. Bake 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets and place on wire racks to cool.
7. Then enjoy {and share} your delicious Milky Way Bites, Pretzel & Coconut Loaded Cookies!
