DIY Ghost Sucker Favors Halloween Craft For Kids To Make
Can you believe Halloween is a month away? Where did the time go? Before you know it, we’ll be in Christmas mode and preparing for the new year. Yikes! I just got chills.
Before I get ahead of myself, let’s start thinking about candy and scary treats. After-all that’s what Halloween is all about, right? Well besides the creepy, gooey stuff. {I’ll leave that for others to take care of!}
With every holiday comes big budgets and expectations. But for me, I’m not willing to break the bank over Halloween. I’m all for handing out candy and passing along treats, but let’s face it – I can’t go into debt over it. Especially with Christmas creeping up faster than I like.
So today’s Halloween candy craft post is about how I took some simple supplies from the Dollar Tree and made these fun tulle wrapped ghost sucker favors. You can get your crafty fix AND give away an impressive ghost themed treat. All of within a reasonable budget!

Ghost Sucker Craft Supplies:
- Faux Spider Web
- White Tulle
- Store Bought Suckers – one sucker makes ONE ghost party favor
- Ribbon or String
- Low Temp Hot Glue Gun
- Small Wiggle Eyes – two per sucker
- Single Hole Punch
- Black Construction Paper
I used Tootsie Roll Pops for our ghost suckers because I liked the size of the suckers. Plus who doesn’t love Tootsie Roll Pops?? {How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?}

- For each sucker – you need one piece of ribbon, two same-size pieces of tulle and a clump of spider web. My tulle pieces were about 6 inches long but you can def. eye ball it.

- First lay your pieces of tulle on a flat surface. Hold your sucker by the stick and place the candy part in the center of the tulle.
- Bunch/grab the tulle and wrap it around the sucker. Hold the ghost by the neck and lay the spider web over the sucker.

- Now tie your ribbon around the neck of the ghost to keep everything in place.

- Next, using my hole punch, I punched some circles out of the black construction paper for the mouth of each ghost. Then I hot glued those, along with the wiggle eyes, onto the ghost’s face.
- If you are worried about choking hazards with small kids, skip the wiggle eyes and just do hole punches for the eyes & mouth.

- And that’s it! Repeat for each sucker, for as many as you want/need. Then pile them in a large Halloween candy bowl and hand them out for others to enjoy!
These are so simple and you can even get your children involved in the process too. Just pre-cut everything and have an assemble line to get it done. You could also change these up a bit by using colored tulle and different types of ribbon. Who says you can’t have fun with ghosts?
