Today’s craft is called “Splat Butterflies.”
Now before protective animal groups start contacting me and yelling at me, no butterflies were harmed in the making of this craft. In fact, no one was harmed! No one is ever harmed in the making of these crafts–Now that I got that out of way, let’s grab our supplies.
Wanna know how inexpensive this craft is? All you need is paint & paper. That’s it! And most of you probably already have those supplies, on hand. In turn, making this craft a great “spur of the moment” thing. I personally love these washable Crayola fingerpaints for this craft (it’s a little watery which is perfect) but any paint will do.
First fold your paper in half like a card.
Open up your card and put dots of paint on one side. You can put them anywhere and as much as you want. There is no right or wrong way for this.
Now fold your card and go “SPLAT!” pressing your hand along the paper, moving the paint around.
Now carefully open your card to reveal your design. Let it dry.
Once it’s dry, add some embellishments to make it look like a butterfly. And you are done.
Aren’t these Splat Butterflies, fun? You can totally customize this craft to fit a theme or any colors you have on hand. Join us tomorrow for a fun caterpillar craft. See you then!
