Today’s craft is all about new life. When I think of spring, I think of all the babies & new things that pop up. Spring, in my opinion, is a fresh new start. What better way to explain new life to a child, then a bird nest filled with fresh baby chicks?
For this craft, here is what we used but you could use whatever you have in your home: a paper plate, a brown lunch bag, brown tissue paper, yarn, white school glue, scissors, cotton balls, wiggle eyes, random plastic leaves I had from another project.
First cover your paper plate with a good layer of glue. I used a paint brush to do that.
Then have your child add the pieces they desire, onto the paper plate, creating the look of a nest.
Once they are done, you will want to add your “birds.” This was done by just gluing our wiggle eyes to the cotton balls, then gluing the cotton balls to the center of the paper plate.
And that is it!
Join us tomorrow for another great craft!
