Today I’m sharing with you a post I did over at A Night Owl a few weeks ago. This is my Cherry Vanilla Shake recipe and it’s a big hit in my house. I don’t know about you, but I love cherries. The price for them scares me at time, but it’s my spurge food. I remember picking cherries in my grandma’s garden growing up. I think that’s why I’m such a sucker for cherries. They bring back some good memories.
And did you know February is National Cherry Month? So not only is this recipe great for Valentine’s day, you can also whip it up in honor of National Cherry Month. PLUS, the items? Simple, ingredients! This isn’t going to break the bank or your waist line. I hope you get inspired to try it and love it as much as we do.
1 1/2 cups frozen, pitted cherries
1 1/4 cups milk
3 Tbsp sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 pinch of salt
1 cup ice
Throw all the above items in to a blender. Blend until completely mixed & smooth. Serve with whipped cream on top. Enjoy!
