Many of you know, our 5 year anniversary was two weeks ago. That day, my dear husband surprised me with flowers. Even though I told him not to a million times. But I do have to say it was a nice surprise & they were beautiful.
My husband says I’m a hard one to shop for. Mainly because I can’t justify the price on the things he wants to buy me. I always tell him, “CRAFTY stuff.” And he responds, “But you have that stuff! What more do you need?” I tell him,” Buy me a gift card.” He says, “You have a debit card.” So his explanation this time for buying me flowers? “Hopefully you can turn it into something crafty.” And guess what? I did. See my anniversary flower keepsake ornament I made. It’s perfect for our Christmas tree. Especially since our anniversary is in the Christmas month.
What really prompted this craft project, was when I came across a tutorial on how to dry flowers in the microwave on Pinterest. This made a light bulb go off in my head, because that meant this craft project could be completed in one day. No waiting around for the petals to dry and eventually forgetting about them. So I present to you today, a quick tutorial on how to make one of these yourself.
