Looking for a fun, creative snack for you child? Or for a party? Maybe just a late night snack for yourself? Then search no more. This is a great, cute snack that doesn’t take much effort. Nor will it break the bank. You can even get your kids involved. They will love making it, as much as they love eating it afterwards.
4-5 firm-ripe bananas, cut into 2 inch chunks
6 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips (about 1 cup)
Container of sprinkles
1. Insert a toothpick into each banana chunk. Arrange bananas, toothpick side up, on a wax paper covered cookie sheet. Freeze until firm. This can take about 2 hours.
2. Once banana chunks are frozen, remove from freezer. Place sprinkles in a plate. Take a medium, microwave-safe bowl and heat chocolate in 10 second increments. Stirring between each, until chocolate is melted and smooth. Working quickly, dip each banana chunk in chocolate. Shake off excess and roll in sprinkles. Chocolate should set quickly, but if necessary you can freeze them again to harden.
